David L. Murphy (Jaylen): David was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He attended Occidental College in Los Angeles where he studied theater receiving his college's "Outstanding Theater Actor" Award, which inspired him to pursue the entertainment industry after graduating. He then honed his craft studying the Meisner technique for two years in addition to local theater productions including an "off-Broadway" monologue play (Sex, Love, & Relationships) that was brought to Los Angeles where he received great reviews from L.A. Weekly. He then decided to test out the television commercial world, booking over twenty national and ten regional TV spots in just four years. In 2009, he made his feature film debut in Dead Time as the character "Max", which began distribution in Fall 2011. In 2011, David was seen playing the character "Bud" in the star-studded film Larry Crowne, directed by and starring Tom Hanks.
