MICAH COHEN

writer/director

Originally from Los Angeles, Micah Cohen attended the University of California at Santa Barbara where he graduated with Honors as a Double Major in Communication and Pre-Law. Upon graduation, he decided to move back to Los Angeles and started studying the craft of acting.

Studying with the likes of Ivanna Chubbuck, Micah gained considerable knowledge and understanding about the actor's experience. Although he quickly knew he did not want to act himself, the experience proved vital to his working relationship with actors. Soon after this time he attended The Los Angeles Film School where he majored in directing and cinematography. Making several short films here, he received great acclaim from peers and faculty alike.

Upon leaving school, Micah went to go work as an assistant at Team Todd (Alice in Wonderland, Memento, Boiler Room, etc.). Here Micah gained invaluable industry experience, most notably covering numerous scripts for the company. The experience provided him with a true understanding of story as well as the realities of the filmmaking business. Knowing that he ultimately wanted to write and direct, Micah left Team Todd and immediately started pre-production on Lost In A Crowd. Micah is currently in development on an orignal television pilot entitled THE COLLECTIVE
