The son of two art historians, Daniel Shepard grew up surrounded by a love of all the arts. Born and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, Dan graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a BA in Film Studies. While in school he was a finalist for the Lazarus Screen Writing Scholarship, and his documentary, My First Movie, was an official selection in the 2003 Da Vinci Film Festival. Since that time he has been working in all sides of production in film and television becoming an IATSE Grip (True Blood, Leverage) and Directors Guild of America Stage Manager (The Biggest Loser). While he continues to work network television, Dan finds time to develop his own projects. Lost In a Crowd is his first Producer credit.
